Jamie Balagia, “the Dude”, heads up his firm’s trial sections in the Austin and San Antonio offices. Jamie tries criminal cases in State and Federal Court unless the prosecutors “make an offer we can’t refuse”.
The Law Offices of Jamie Balagia handles criminal cases from Austin to San Antonio and all surrounding areas. Jamie was a Texas Peace Officer obtaining the rating of Master Peace Officer while working for the Austin Police Department from 1979 to 1990. Jamie was assigned to and worked street patrol, the traffic shift and gained fame as an undercover officer on the Original Vice Squad in 1986-88.
Jamie left the police force and attended the University of Texas School of Law on an academic scholarship. Jamie raced his way through the three-year law school program in 26 months and passed the Texas State Bar Exam while still in Law School.
On November 6, 1992, the Law Office of Jamie Balagia broke out from his dreams and into reality. Almost immediately Jamie found himself representing clients that appreciated his full bore style and total commitment to his clients. Jamie gained a reputation for working his cases to the best of his ability and finding a way to win in the face of almost certain defeat.
